Our Preschool programme for children aged 0–6 years is rooted in the Forest School tradition, where nature becomes the child’s first classroom. In these early years we nurture curiosity, confidence, and a deep connection to the natural world by allowing children to learn in and from nature every day.

Children spend most of their day outdoors, exploring the forests, gardens, and wide open spaces of our farm, providing endless opportunities for discovery, creativity, movement, and imaginative play. The changing seasons guide our rhythm of learning, inviting children to observe, question, and interact with the living world around them.

Our experienced forest school educators carefully observe and support each child’s development, guiding them as they expand their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive abilities. The environment is thoughtfully prepared with a range of open-ended materials and activities, allowing children to choose how they engage with their learning.

Throughout the day, children can access a variety of experiences—some teacher-guided and many based on independent exploration and play. This balance supports both skill development and the growth of intrinsic motivation, a key principle at Arcos International Forest School because when children follow their interests and curiosities, learning becomes joyful, meaningful, and deeply engaging.
